Returning your drinking bottles? At Artisport that's easy. At our locations in Veldhoven and Meerhoven we have special containers. They stand out because they are provided with special wrappers. Throw your plastic bottles in the containers and support a good cause: "The forgotten child".

Every year, 900 million small plastic bottles enter the market. Some of these, about ten percent, end up in nature. And that this does the environment no good is not news. To address that plastic waste problem, since last year there has been a deposit on small PET bottles. There has already been a 70 percent decrease in discarded bottles in nature.

Good cause

Artisport has chosen to donate the deposit proceeds to "The Forgotten Child."

The Forgotten Child focuses on vulnerable children and youth growing up in an unsafe or unstable home situation. For example, there are over 100,000 children growing up in families with multiple problems and there are over 55,000 children where things go so wrong that they can no longer live at home.

Because although research shows that Dutch children are among the happiest children in the world: unfortunately, this success does not apply to all children in our country. Too often things still go wrong, sometimes even very wrong. When children are neglected and/or abused, it marks the rest of their lives. The consequences are severe and range from negative self-image, low self-esteem, serious behavioral problems and addiction to personality disorders and criminal behavior. Often this goes from generation to generation. We want to stop this intergenerational transmission. The Forgotten Child therefore fights for a Netherlands where every child feels like a real child, develops well and participates fully in society.
